With its original architectural detailing intact: high ceilings, double doors, wooden floors and traditional ceramic ‘stove’ heater, the apartment has been recently renovated to high modern standards; a fully equipped modern kitchen with new hob/oven, microwave and toaster; spacious bathroom with tub, shower, washer and hair-drier; huge Living Room with modern sofa bed, cable TV (with international stations), CD and DVD player; two double bedrooms (one with single sofa bed). New heating and double-glazed windows.

The balcony overlooks the communal courtyard, where in 1922, Jozef Pilsudski, leader of newly-independent Poland, swore a formal oath of fealty to the new republic (look out for the commemorative plaque on the building opposite, where Pilsudski’s office was located).

The apartment is perfectly located for eating out, entertainment and shopping. The old town (now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site),with a fantastic selection of first-class restaurants, bars, clubs, theatres and boutiques is a short walk away. Also, make time to visit one of the bohemian cafes for hot chocolate, a glass of wine or the excellent local beer.

If you decide to eat at home there's a 24 hour deli and general store at the end of the street, plus lots of local shops and cafes. You can jump on a tram from here for the 5 minute journey to Wawel Castle – or to the famous Jewish Quarter at Kazimierz, where Steven Spielberg filmed many scenes for ‘Schindler’s List. There, too, you’ll be spoilt for choice with all the sights, restaurants, bars and nightlife that awaits you.

When you’ve exhausted all the possible cultural and culinary delights the neighbourhood has to offer (unlikely!), then head for the newly-opened Galeria Krakowska retail complex, for an amazing selection of international and local brands, at bargain local prices.

Stag or hen parties of any kind are not welcome. Please don’t book the apartment if you are visiting Krakow for this reason.

VOM FLUGHAFEN ZUM STADTZENTRUM
Der internationale Jan-Pawel-II-Flughafen befindet sich 11 km vom Stadtzentrum entfernt.
TAXI - für den ganztägigen Service sorgt Radio Taxi 9191 - Orientierungspreis für eine Fahrt zum Stadtzentrum - ca. 60 PLN
ÖFFENTLICHE VERKEHRSMITTEL - Die Bushaltestelle befindet sich direkt von dem Flughafensgebäude. Die Zufahrt bis zum Stadtzentrum (Bushaltestelle "Dworzec Glowny Wschod" - Hauptbahnhof) mit der Linie 292. Die Fahrt soll ungefähr 35 min dauern. Ein Einzelticket kostet 2,5 PLN, eine 1-Stunde-Karte kostet 3,1 PLN. Die Fahrkarten sind in den Kiosken im Terminalgebäude oder bei dem Busfahrer (gegen Zuschlag) zu kaufen.
VOM OMNIBUS- UND HAUPTBAHNHOF
Beide Bahnhöfe befinden sich im Stadtzentrum, etwa 1 km vom Hauptmarkt entfernt.
